Flexible Funding to Help Households Access Essential Resources – A resource for borrowers with loans insured or guaranteed by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), or the Rural Housing Service (RHS)

Phone: (716) 483-5624. JCLC Serves families with infant, toddler and school-age children. Parents of these households have many barriers to accessing services and meeting basic needs.
Chautauqua Opportunities – Call (716) 366-8176 to speak to a navigator. Serves a variety of populations throughout the county including providing homelessness services, rental assistance, overseeing the Childcare Council and Head Start, and many other programs which may be available to help households that qualify.

phone: (716) 490-4028. MHA works with the population of adults who struggle with a mental health challenges and /or substance use disorders.

Provides services to families and individuals living in poverty, to help meet their household needs including providing access to household items, clothing and other basic needs. CHH Staff are bi-lingual and serving many families in the Latino community.

Provides mental health counseling and domestic violence offender classes/services for the community. Their programs often include a high degree of case management, to help support the individuals and families they serve.
United Way of Northern Chautauqua County – Contact Adam Dolce email: adam@unitedwayncc.org
Phone: (716) 366-5424. Provides funding to many of the non-profits who serve the residents of Northern Chautauqua County. UWAY collaborates with program providers to help identify and meet service gaps in the area. They also offer free tax services through the VITA program.
Love INC – Contact Susan Justham email: susan.loveinc@gmail.com Phone: (716) 338-9838. Faith communities and leaders can contact Love INC to help members of their community and congregations overcoming barriers to accessing resources.
Flexible funding is funding intended to help individuals and families overcome barriers to accessing essential resources, which have resulted directly from the COVID-19 crisis. These funds have set limits of $200 per need/incident with a $500 maximum per household.
Flexible funds may only be used to help households access essential resources during COVID-19, specifically in the areas of communication, transportation, and access to food/ hygiene and cleaning products. Examples of flexible funding would be cell phones, cell phone minutes, paying off back cable bills which are preventing access to the internet for students or people needing access to tele-medicine, tele-counseling or tele-psych services. Utility Assistance. Transportation may be used on items such as gas cards, basic car repairs, delivery, uber and cab fare to help people be able to access their primary needs such as food, medical and mental health services. Flexible funding can also be used to help meet basic needs to purchase items that they cannot find from traditional food pantries such as baby formula and diapers, cleaning supplies, laundry, etc.

New York State is doing all it can to keep New Yorkers safe and stop the spread of COVID-19. But we’re stronger if we all work together. Governor Cuomo is calling on health care professionals, schools of public health or medicine and PPE products providers and manufacturers to come forward to support the state’s response. In addition, many businesses and organizations have expressed a desire to support New York State as it responds to the virus outbreak. - DOL has been working hard to keep up with the new demand for Unemployment Insurance and has institute new rules that include extended ours and restrictions about when to file based on your last name:

CCIDA Emergency Working Capital Loan Program
In response to the COVID-19 crisis and the impact it is having on businesses throughout Chautauqua County, the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) is providing low-interest loans not to exceed $10,000 to businesses throughout Chautauqua County. This emergency funding, which originates from the Al-Tech Loan Fund, can be used for working capital needs, and the normal application and securitization requirements are being relaxed. While these emergency loans are to be paid back in their entirety, they will be interest-only for a minimum of three months, and leniency is being exercised in terms of normal collateral requirements.

Small business Administration Disaster Loan Assistance
New York State has now been approved as an Economic Injury Disaster State so our small businesses can now start the SBA Disaster Loan application process. The Economic Injury Disaster Loans are for small businesses. A business can apply for up to $2 million and the interest rate will be 3.75% (2.75% for nonprofits that qualify). Loans over $25,000 require collateral. Business will need their most recent Federal Income Tax Return and information on monthly sales. It is recommended that businesses look at the last three years of their Tax Return documents in order to develop a strong estimate on what their losses would be for this year. Loans can take up to 21 days for approval and then several more weeks for the closing documents to go through. Funds can be used for fixed debts, payroll, and other bills. The assumption (this is not confirmed yet) is that the loan payments will start five months after the loan date.

Utilities
If you are struggling to pay your BPU bill, please call customer service immediately so that they can document the issues, work on a plan, and ensure that you are not getting penalties applied to your account. BPU Customer Service 716-661-1660.
Internal Revenue Service
The Internal Revenue Service will grant a 90 day deferral for tax payments, up to $1 million for individuals and $10 million for corporations, with no interest and no penalties. On March 17, the IRS also alerted its employees that effective immediately, the IRS will stop some enforcement actions, including certain levies and collection notices, until further notice.
