Traffic signal upgrade

  • The Department of Public Works Traffic Division maintains the traffic signal equipment at 68 intersections within the City of Jamestown, NY.
  • Of these, 27 are New York State Department of Transportation intersections that the City maintains through a contract with the State of New York.  Our maintenance of these State signals does not include major repairs and operations changes.
  • The City also has a Shared Services Agreement with Chautauqua County and assists with maintenance for its various Towns and Villages.
