The Department of Public Works provides limited sidewalk plowing on designated routes. These have been designated by the Director of Public Works, in conjunction with the Jamestown School Superintendent, as high-volume pedestrian routes. These sidewalks are the major collector routes for school children heading to and from the City schools.
It should be noted that per the City Code it is the responsibility of all Property Owners to maintain their sidewalks in a snow and ice free condition.
