Homlessness and Rapid Re-Housing Action Plan

The City of Jamestown invites public comment on its Substantial Amendment to the City of Jamestown Consolidated Plan 2008 Action Plan for the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), created under Title XII of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to provide financial assistance and services to either prevent individuals and families from becoming homeless or help those who are experiencing homelessness to be quickly re-housed.

The City of Jamestown is eligible to make application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for $573,517 under HPRP by submitting its proposed Substantial Amendment describing its plan for use of HPRP funds as required by the Notice of Allocations, Application Procedures, and Requirements for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program, Docket No. FR-5307-N-01.

Copies of the proposed Substantial Amendment will be made available for the required twelve (12) day review period at the following locations: the Department of Development office, Third Floor, Municipal Building, 200 East Third Street, Jamestown, New York; the City Clerk's office, First Floor, Municipal Building, 200 East Third Street, Jamestown, New York; and the James Prendergast Library, 509 Cherry Street, Jamestown, New York.

The public is invited to submit their written comments to the Department of Development, Third Floor, Municipal Building, 200 East Third Street, Jamestown, New York, 14701. All comments received will be considered prior to the submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by the Mayor.
