July 1, 2019 – Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities announces that the Harrison Street Bridge over the Chadakoin River will be closed to traffic starting July 1, 2019. Harrison St. between Foote Ave. and Main St. will be closed to traffic and detours will be posted. The bridge replacement is scheduled to last approximately five months with a plan to re-open in November, 2019.
Beginning July 8, 2019, LC Whitford will begin working on the Foote Avenue RR Bridge. Foote Avenue will be closed to traffic from Harrison St. to Crane St. for an estimated time frame of six weeks, scheduled to re-open in mid-August. Detours will be posted and motorists must use alternate routes of travel.
