The City of Jamestown is accepting Request for Proposal submissions through the Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency for the sale and redevelopment of 8 East Second Street in Downtown Jamestown. The building is condemned due to issues relating to the demolition of the adjoining structure that removed the access to the second and third floors by a common stairway that no longer exists. The building is in the Downtown Jamestown Historic District, and is eligible for Historic Tax Credits.
Proposals must include a narrative for the plan for redevelopment and potential cost estimates. The building may also be eligible for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for the Downtown Jamestown Greenlining Facade Improvement Program. A building condition report was recently conducted by a structural engineering firm and is available for download below.
RFP submissions must be received by May 6, 2019.
